Privacy Policy – Standard Collection Notice

  1. Hot Confidence for Kids collects personal information, including sensitive details about participants, parents and other important people in the participant’s world during the course of enrolment in the program as well as during the course of the Hot Confidence for Kids program. The main reason for gathering this information is to ensure that the program providers are well equipped to meet the participant’s needs in the most appropriate ways possible.
  2. Some of the information gathered is to satisfy the legal obligations Hot Confidence for Kids must fulfil, particularly to enable Hot Confidence for Kids to discharge it’s duty of care.
  3. Certain laws relating to and governing the operation of programs with children require that specific information be collected. These include Public Health and Child Protection laws.
  4. Health information about participants is sensitive information within the terms of the National Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act.
  5. Disclosure: From time to time Hot Confidence for Kids discloses personal and sensitive information to others for administrative, educational and health purposes. This may include to Schools, government departments, system education offices, medical practitioners and people providing their input to the Hot Confidence for Kids program such as visiting specialists, coaches, trainers, helpers, and teachers.
  6. If we do not obtain the information referred to above, we may not be able to enrol or continue the enrolment of your child.
  7. Personal information gathered from participants may be disclosed to their parents and guardians with their informed consent.
  8. On occasions information such as achievements, artwork, texts, activities and other news is published in newsletters, on social media such as Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest, on our websites, in newspapers. This may include photographs, video and sound recordings.
  9. Parents are welcome to seek information collected about them and their child/children by contacting Hot Confidence for Kids. Participants are also welcome to access information gathered about them. However there may be occasions when access is denied. Such occasions would include where access would have an unreasonable impact on the privacy of others, where access may result in a breach of Hot Confidence for Kids’ duty of care to the participant, or where participants have provided information in confidence.
  10. Your contact details may be included in a group list, however if you do not agree to this, please notify Hot Confidence for Kids.
  11. Your information will not be disclosed to any third party for their marketing purposes without your consent.

Parent Undertakings

Parents who wish to apply to have their child enroll in the Hot Confidence for Kids program are asked to complete this application. The submission of the application implies that you and the participant will support the respectful, tolerant, positive values of Hot Confidence for Kids and will co-operate with in matters of policy e.g. attitude, behaviour, integrated holistic practice. Further that you accept the terms of the Standard Collection Notices as stated above. You, the parent or guardian, acknowledge that confidence-, social skills- and resilience- building through the Hot Confidence for Kids Program is an ongoing, interactive, professional relationship designed to help the participant achieve their desired results. The program is a systematic process in which an environment is created for self-directed learning and personal growth of the participant. Successful outcomes require an active collaborative approach between the participant and Hot Confidence for Kids facilitators. Hot Confidence for Kids is in no way to be construed as psychological counseling or any type of therapy. Results are not guaranteed. The participant enters into the Hot Confidence for Kids program with the full understanding that they are responsible for creating their own results. Fee payment is due in advance in cleared funds on or prior to commencement. Hot Confidence for Kids reserves the right to review or terminate the enrolment of a participant, when a disclosure of a participant’s needs has not been submitted or if the program is deemed by Hot Confidence for Kids unsuitable for the participant.
